Last week we went to Los Cobos Mexico and I thought we would share all about our trip! I would be lying if I said it was an amazingly relaxing getaway...any one with kids knows most trips are busy and chaotic but with a 19th month old it was exhausting. Lincoln and Autumn actually are old enough ages to appreciate being on a trip and got lots out of it, though they were still exhausted when they got home, but Ryder.....man he as a nightmare. The plane ride there was beyond torturous for us and probably everyone else on the plane, luckily the way home was MUCH better, he got his own seat because the plane wasn't full and he was happy with the extra space he had and he ended up walking around a lot on the flight home. I think if we would've flown with Autumn at this age we could've managed to entertain her for the 4.5 hours easier...but little ones like Ryder (Lincoln was the same), the busy want to run every where type kids, just aren't as easily entertained! The resort we stayed at(villa del arco) was Mom and Rogers time share and it was beautiful, seriously looking at the ocean never ever would get old, in fact I desperately want to move near the ocean, the sound, the scenery even the ocean air smell, its amazing. Another challenege with traveling with our baby was the heat, It was 35 degrees plus and the humidity nearly kills you so it was hard on our little long haired guy, he was not used to the heat! Besdies the challenges with our little baby on the trip we did some pretty cool things, we did a turtle release which was SO worth it, 1. we had the entire tour to our selves 2. we got to release 54 turtles (normally one person gets maybe 1-2), 3. seriously they are the cutest things in the entire world 4. our guide was amazing super knowledgeable and the nicest guy. I was actually getting emotional during the turtle release haha I seriously almost bawled releasing them, it was the perfect night and something about it felt so special. We also took the kids on a dolphin excursion just the big kids did it though but it was super fun for them and they loved it! We of course did lots and lots of swimming at the resort and one day we headed to this amazing little area called cerritos beach where the tide isn't so strong you can actually play in the water and we traveled to a little town called Todos Santos, it was fun to have a bit more of the "authentic" mexican experience. All in all it was a cool place to see but I don't think we'll be going back to Mexico any time soon...theres SO many cool places to see, Also this was trip was a weirdo deja vu since last time we were in Los Cabos little Lincoln was in my belly...man things have changed!!
