Holiday Spirit

Well I know I've fallen off the blogging train a bit but with back in November our family had a nasty long lived cold, and we have been so busy I just haven't had time! I am pleased though my Christmas shopping was all completed by November so this month I haven't had to worry about it which is nice! My in laws were here for 2 weeks recently and we got to enjoy some family time with them, the kids sure loved it and are going to miss them with going to Hawaii, we headed over to heritage parks once upon a Christmas and had a blast, the kids did their annual shopping for mommy and daddy there and even a few little things for grandpa and grandma which they get to do in the kids only store, I can't wait to see which hilarious goodies the kiddies get for us this year, it really is my highlight Christmas morning. We also did a bunch of baking in November for christmas, this year we did sugar cookies, ginger snaps and eggnog snickerdoodles! The kids of course loved helping, and last weekend we ventured out to canmore for a quick little get away, it was lovely, great weather and we enjoyed walking around canmore and the nice hotel but the highlight for the kids was swimming, we decided to try out canmores new recreation center, the pool is super fun, has lots of toys little slides, one big slide, hot tub and a lazy river. I seriously felt like a blimp, I probably floated on a pool noodle in the lazy river for a good hour while Andrew and the kids played, my preggo self enjoyed being able to just relax in the water and feel weightless for a while. There was litterally no one in the pool and Lincoln had this huge water slide all to him self, the slide rules were you had to be a certain height (poor Autumn was too short) and go one person at a time so daddy couldn't go with him, he climbed up those huge stairs and went up and down it probably 30 times, he was in heaven! It was so fun to be out in the mountains, especially around christmas time, the snow made everything look so magical!

here are some photos then read down for a baby update :)

random pic of Autumn playing, check out that bed head. She was sorting her numbers and letters by colour :)

This is Lincoln making "cheese brows" lol. He was seriously in heaven, we never buy cheetos or cheesies because I find them disgusting but since we were in a hotel having fun I let him get some, he was SO happy!

Well time for a much needed pregnancy update. This pregnancy has been a lot different than me other ones, each pregnancy was VERY different from each other.

Lincolns I felt a little nauseous here and there and I did throw up a few times, I also had a horrible flu, got random headaches and then of course at 24 weeks had premature labor that led to premature birth, it wasn't a horibble pregancy just little things along the way, besides the sheer terror of Lincolns birth. I gained a total of 13 pounds and of course got no stretch marks being not far along.

Autumns pregnancy, morning sickness hell, throwing up and nausea probably every day till 25 weeks when it seemed to die down and was more manageable (so maybe the gender myth of being sicker with girls is true), got my fair share of stretch marks :( really so sad, heartburn all the time and gained a total of 33 pounds.

Baby #3, didn't get any morning sickness till probably 8-10 weeks and those weeks were my worst, just nausea though no throwing up, and then now I only feel nauseous if I don't eat at all and I'm hungry or eat too much of something, this pregnancy has been my best for morning sickness,  this pregnancy has been my worst for aches and pains, most women experience these pretty late in their pregnancy but at about 14 weeks I got crazy sciatica, I totally got rid of it though through acupuncture, massage and chiro, I'm so glad its gone, but still I get pelvic pain and hip if I do too much, but from what i hear this is VERY common for your third pregnancy, your body seems to think it knows what its doing so it speeds up a lot of the stretching and changing, hence the more pains earlier on. So far at almost 28 weeks, i've gained 14.5 pounds, so we will see how much I gain I still have 9.5 weeks till my csection, hopefully the rest of the weight gain wont be too drastic but who knows!!

I found one of these pregnancy questionnaires online and figured I should do one!

How far along? 27 weeks 4 days
Total weight gain/loss: 14.5 pounds

Maternity clothes? OH YA, all pants for sure, there are some baggy shirts I can still wear
Stretch marks? No new ones....(please stay this way!!)

Movement: TONS, this baby is crazy but I can tell his sleep/awake times, and he definitely moves a lot after I eat
Food cravings: it really changes everyday but hot chocolate craving will not go away :)
Anything making you queasy or sick: not really sick more heartburn, I had curry the other day and paid the price in heartburn for hours after, so I am trying to stick to blander stuff.

Labor Signs: No thank goodness :)

Belly Button in or out? half way....starting to pop out, the top is out
Wedding rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: MOODY most days, but happy some haha
Milestones: third trimester :), and buying the car seat and a few other goodies.

Here is our sweet baby's profile at I think around 22 weeks, so he has probably changed a lot since then, but we loved seeing him :).
