Catch up

well I haven't blogged since christmas haha! I was planning on canceling my blog since I don't feel there is much use for it anymore but I think of our upcoming trip and fun summer plans and this really is a great way to show the family and kids down the road a little peak into our everyday lives, I dont find this blog a journal or outlet but I do think of it more as a memory keeper as It brings me back to some special outings or trips with the family, and I love those memories with my loved ones.

So having my last blog entry be Christmas you would think I would have a lot of interesting things to say from then till now but I don't. The winter this year in calgary nearly killed me, it was so depressing being here and I think I did every indoor activities with the kids around Calgary that I could manage! We celebrated Ryders third birthday and had a fun little get away to west edmonton mall and now finally things are picking up again! Life has gotten so busy now, we have a million appointments every week, so many things going on with the kids, play dates, birthday parties and end of year fun is coming! We head to Scotland soon, we also will be going to Saskatchewan for my grandmas burial. My sweet loving Grandma passed a week ago which has been really hard but I feel so blessed to have had the best memories with her and her last words to me were "I love you". Anyway I cant say 2018 was awesome yet because the first part of the year was actually pretty dreery but things are looking up and I am excited for all the fun to come this summer!

Ok for some reason the photos are all in a crazy order and im too lazy to change it lol! Some of Rys party, some of my family and then some of today Ryders first day of soccer! it was everything I thought it may be, lots of fun and a couple of breakdowns. Ryder does not understand that he is not suppose to hold or touch the ball with his hands and only use feet, he also doesn't like when another kid gets the ball...that sharing thing is tough. But he did manage to score his first goal! I guess we shall see how it goes :)

Christmas eve and Christmas day!

Well i am finally doing a little recap of our christmas for my own memory sake! It went by so so fast but it was an awesome few days! Christmas eve is always my favorite I actually like it over christmas day because the excitement of santa coming even gets me excited haha!! We have our tradition every year where we get dressed up and do a christmas eve service at any church to sing carols, then we always head out some where yummy for dinner and this year we also went and visited my grandma, since we knew she couldn't leave her building this year we still wanted to make sure she saw us and we had a nice visit and time there with the kids! We had so much fun being Santa (good thing my kids can't read this blog yet) and we didn't get much sleep, the kids had peaked at 2am and came and said santa came! But I said we couldn't get up till 6 so at 6am all mayhem happened and we opened all our fun gifts! needless to say christmas day we all were pretty dang tired, we had Andrews parents over for a christmas morning brunch and then we had dinner with my family that evening, it was an exhausting day but we had a great time! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season with family! now onto 2018!

Family fun and the polar express

What a busy few days we have had and the next two will be busy as well!! I wont be blogging till after christmas as I want to enjoy my time with our little family and savor in these precious christmas moments! The past few days we have had two family get togethers and went on the polar express, it was so much fun and amazingly well done! The music, the book reading, the yummy treats to eat and loud carol singing, it was such a special memory for our kids! Happy Christmas eve friends!

Nutcracker and Heritage park christmas

Two of my favourite christmas acitivies are complete!! What a super fun season we have had! Autumn, my mom and I went to the nutracker ballet again this year it really is so fun to get fancy and dressed up and enjoy some drinks and treats and watch the incredible ballet dancers! We also had the best seats this year and it was so fun to be so close and see the dancers expressions and hear the flutter of the ballet shoes across the floor, it was so magical and I hope we are creating such fun memories for our kids. We also went to heritage park once upon a christmas with my cousin and we love doing this as our kids go into the kids only store to get mom and dads presents, they are always SO fun to open and comical, this was the first year Ryder went in as well although I think Ryder thinks the present is for him haha!! Hope everyone is having a lovely holiday season, only 4 more days!!
